Department 28 - BOOTHS

Rules for Booths:

  1. Education Exhibits are to be in place by 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2020.

  2. Placement and set up may be done between 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 11th; 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12th; and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13th, 2020.  The building is unattended at other hours and is not available for placement and set-up of booths before judging. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

  3. Educational booths shall be limited to Extension Homemaker Clubs; Youth Booths, which will include:  4-H clubs, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, student councils, or other public schools student organization of any Nevada County school system. 

  4. Informational booths which will be considered to be non-profit or community service oriented organizations like Cattleman's, SOS, HIPPY, ABC, church groups, and etc. Commercial Booths will be all others.

  5. The Commercial Booth is not for non-profit organizations or community service programs and will be awarded by ribbons only.

  6. Education exhibits will be judged by the following score card:

 

Appropriateness of Theme 15

  • Timely, important, practical

  • Educational message

  • Message suited for audience

Presentation 50

  • Attracts attention

  • Title of exhibit

  • Design

  • Printed Visuals

 

Effectiveness 35

  • Message accurate, concise, simple

  • Educational effectiveness

  • Booths will be classified as Education, Commercial & Informational.

Awards Offered for Each Lot in Classes 1, 2, 4, & 5:

$15-$10-$8
