Department 7 - MARKET LAMBS
Rules for Market Lambs:

All lambs must have their baby teeth.

Market lambs will be divided into weight classes.

Breed classes will show in alphabetical order followed by the crossbreds. Each exhibitor will classify and enter their own lamb. If the judge does not feel the Lamb meets the breed standard it will be moved to the crossbred class. Possible breed are Hampshire, Suffolk, Southdown, Shropshire, Dorset, All Haired sheep, Black face crossbreds and White face Crossbreds.

The champions of each breed and crossbreds will show for overall Grand and Reserve Champion and sale order. There will be no awards other than ribbons for winning your breed.

There will be no Official weigh-in. Exhibitors will turn in their own weights. After placing the animals may be reweighed and must be within 5 lbs of the turned in weight or will be disqualified. Weigh backs will be random or at the request of the judge.

All market lambs must weigh at least 80 lbs except hair sheep division minimum is 40 lbs. There is no top weight. Lambs will not be required to have their baby teeth but it is highly encouraged for them to be under 1 year of age.
